Tinsel star, Boma Iwowari has declared that sex for role is a
personal decision which every artiste has to make. The indigene of
Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State who has many movies and
dramas to her credit says; “If you decide to throw yourself at producers
and directors, it means you will keep throwing yourself till the last
job you are going to do.
But if you comport yourself during audition and they see the talent
they want in you, you can decide to build relationships from there.”
Boma’s foray into movie and drama started in 1998 when she featured in
Lost. Commenting on her career she said: “I guess it was just a natural
for me as there has not been anybody in my family who toed the acting
line.
I was lucky to get my first role when I was in JSS2 though my father
turned it down.” Boma got her first official role in the movie industry
after graduating from the university in the first season of the award
winning drama, Tinsel. Asked how she finds the job she says: “I will say
it is very tasking but you have to work hard to get to the top. And you
have to look before you leap.”
