Following the success of its two previous shows, Simi and A Step Too
Far, television’s emerging favourite drama series, Tales of Eve, is set
to rock the air with the third show entitled, Girls Only. Tales of Eve,
which hit the airwaves in August, 2011 is a collection of moving stories
which portray the life and experiences of African women as they live
through the trials and triumphs of womanhood.
It is a recollection of stories that may otherwise have remained
untold. Each story exhaustively explores to understand every thought and
emotion, scripted into drama and brought to life for all to experience.
Girls Only tells the tale of four young ladies and how they deal
differently with their childhood memories of abandonment by their
father, who strongly desires to have a boy.
The story highlights the preference for the male child even in
today’s enlightened society and the life-long effects on the girl child.
The drama, is produced by Olatubosun Olaegbe and it features artistes
like Kate Adepegba, Kehinde Bankole, Mary Lazarus, Odenike Odetola,
Omowunmi Dada among others.
The story is written by Tubosun Olasimbo and directed by talented
Adeola Osunkojo. Olatubosun Olaegbe says fans should expect something
better than anything they’ve ever seen from the stables of the
production company, as a whole lot has been expended on the artistic and
technical areas of production to ensure an amazing viewing experience
in full HD format.
