Pastor Chris Okotie Scammed

Scammers have cloned the Facebook account of Nigeria’s celebrity pastor and three-time presidential candidate, Rev. Chris Okotie, and are using it to extort money from the public, his spokesman warned in a statement on Thursday.
Account cloning is when scammers copy a user’s Facebook profile picture onto a new account along with the user’s name and use the new account for various scams.
Ladi Ayodeji, Director of Media and Communications Strategy at Household of God Church, Okotie’s church, disclosed that at least two of such accounts have been created.
“In one of the accounts, they are sending mails to Rev Okotie’s supposed friends soliciting for donations for a purported kidney patient that Rev. Chris Okotie allegedly intends to send to a Saudi Arabian hospital for treatment,” Ayodeji said.

Saudi Arabia Authorities Behead 7 Men In Public For Stealing

Saudi Arabia on Wednesday March 13, beheaded seven men after being charged with looting, theft and armed robbery.

The men were arrested in 2006 jewelry-stealing ring. One man, Nasser al-Qahtani, told the Associated Press attested to inhumane treatment following his arrest. He claimed that he was tortured for a confession, not appointed a lawyer, and only appeared before a judge three times during the lengthy trial. He also claimed that his torture marks were ignored in court.
According to reports, he was 15 years old at the time of his arrest. Qahtani and the other six men were originally sentenced to death by firing squad and crucifixion in 2009.
Human rights activist group Human Rights Watch appealed to the country’s King Abdullah on March 4 to not execute the men, stating that there was “strong evidence” of an unfair trial.

Man Rapes His Daughter While Wife Was Asleep

A 31-year-old man accused of raping his 10-year-old daughter in the kitchen while the mother was sleeping in the bedroom, has appeared in court.

The man appeared before regional magistrate Ms Estere Chivasa who deferred the matter to today for trial continuation. In his defence, the man told the court that it was impossible to leave his wife sleeping in the bedroom and go on to rape his step-daughter in the kitchen.

Woman Shot Dead by Sheriff For Shoplifting At the Store

Shelly Frey, 27, was shot and killed by an off-duty sheriff’s deputy at a Houston, TX., Walmart. The deputy was suspicious of Frey, saying he thought she was stealing from the store, reports UK Daily Mail. Harris County Sheriff’s deputies said that Shelly Frey, Tisa Andrews and Yolanda Craig were shoplifting when they were stopped by Louis Campbell, a 26-year veteran of the force, who is employed as a security guard at Walmart.

Campbell said that the women dashed to their car, and when he went to open their car door, they drove away.

The Next Magazine, a weekly publication from Hong Kong, reported that infant corpses and fetuses have become the newest supplements for health and beauty in China. Not only is the placenta considered a beauty remedy, but also aborted fetuses are much sought after delicacies.
In Guangdong, gourmet body parts are in high demand and can even be purchased through hospitals. The magazine's investigations into this form of cannibalism took them to Liaoning province. According to The Next Magazine, during a banquet hosted by a Taiwanese businessman, a servant Ms Liu from Liaoning province on the mainland inadvertently revealed the habit of eating infants/fetuses in Liaoning province and her intention to return for the supplement due to health concerns.
The Taiwanese women present were horrified. Ms Liu also disclosed that even though people can afford the human parts there are still waiting lists and those with the right connections get the "highest quality" human parts, which translates to the more mature fetuses. A male fetus is considered the "prime" human part.
At the The Next Magazine's request, Ms Liu personally escorted the reporter to a location where a fetus was being prepared. The reporter observed a woman chopping up a male fetus and making soup from the placenta. During the process, the woman even tried to comfort everyone by saying, "Don't be afraid, this is just the flesh of a higher animal."

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested five suspected internet fraudsters in Enugu, Enugu State. They were picked up from their hide out at No. 26 and 42, Chimaobi Uba Street, GRA, Enugu following an intelligence report.
The suspects, Uche Nwakor, 27; Ejikeme Oluchukwu, 30; Ifeanyi Ejikeme, 28 ;Nnamani Ikechukwu,30 and Ibe Kodili are alleged to be serial scammers who have defrauded several victims.
Some of the items recovered from the suspects include Eight Thousand, Two Hundred and Twenty Seven United States Dollars ( $8,227); Seventy Three Thousand Naira (N73,000.00); eight (8) exotic cars; nine (9) laptops; twenty one (21) mobile phones; two (2) internet routers; one (1) currency counter and one (1) Sony camera.
Other incriminating items found with the suspects include four (4) drivers’ license bearing different names with same photograph, five (5) flash drives, two (2) external hard drives, various bank cheques, ATM and Master cards, 1 HP printer, a black traveling bag with 12 different identity cards, a company metal seal, two (2) international passports belonging to the same person, among other items.

The suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Swine Mystery: Nearly 6,000 Dead Pigs Found In Chinese River (PICS, VIDEO)

A Chinese farm admitted to dumping dead pigs into Huangpu River, which had about 6,000 bloated carcasses pulled from its water this week, state media reported.
The labels in the ears of the pigs indicated Jiaxing City as their birthplace, according to Xinhua, the Chinese state-run news agency. The city is south of Shanghai, in the Zhejiang Province.
