Cyclists in Melbourne, Australia
doffed their duds over the weekend in protest of almost everything
during the World Naked Bike Ride.
The group's Facebook page describes its mission statement as follows:
"We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way of defending our dignity and exposing the unique dangers faced by cyclists and pedestrians plus all the negative effects of oil, cars, war, consumerism non-renewable energy as well as promoting positive body image."
While clothing was optional during the "recreational" event, sunblock, helmets and shoes were not.
