The Twilight Star Traded in his Glittery skin for Gritty Blood

Robert Pattinson has officially said goodbye to Edward Cullen. The Twilight star traded in his glittery skin for gritty blood in the behind-the-scenes first look at his newest movie, The Rover.

The flick is a futuristic crime drama that tells the story of Eric (Guy Pearce), who's on the hunt to find a group of criminals. He then teams up with Rey, played by RPatz — an injured member of the gang — to take down the bad guys. The Cosmopolis star has been shooting in the sweltering Australian desert since January, which helps explain his sweaty and grimy look.

Since saying goodbye to the Twilight franchise in November 2012, the 26-year-old also took on four other projects for 2013. It sounds like the hottie has a busy year ahead — and will be spending even more time away from girlfriend Kristen Stewart! The Rover hits theaters later this year.
