AY Comedian, Ama K. Abebrese & Dakore Egbuson to Host AmaAwards 2013
As the clock continues to tick towards the 2013 edition of the African Movie Academy Awards holding in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on April 20, the organisers have unveiled hosts for the event. Two Nigerians, Dakore Egbuson and Ayo Makun, will join their Ghanaian counterpart, Ama Abebrese for the job, at the edition that marks AMAA’s return to its ‘home’, Bayelsa, where it was held for years until 2102 when Lagos flirted with it.
For Dakore, it is another home-coming, since she hails from the same
oil-rich state as President Goodluck Jonathan. While Ama K. Abebrese a
British television presenter, producer and actress of Akan origin in
Ghana, will also be in action, it is AY that is expected to drive the
treat, based on his pedigree as a comedian.

to give the guests a new experience and promote the spirit of unity in
Africa, which the awards scheme is said to have been promoting in the
last nine years of existence.

that the AMAA team is working hand in hand with officials of Bayelsa
State.
