BREAKING NEWS: EARTHQUAKE rocks Iran, Pakistan, India & New Guinea.
An Iranian official said hundreds of dead people are expected from the
quake in the south-east of the country, and at least 40 people have been
killed by a major earthquake near the Iran-Pakistan border.
A strong 8.0 magnitude earthquake struck Iran, near it's border with
Pakistan this afternoon. Tremors shook buildings in India's capital New
Delhi, sending people running into the streets.
A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea and it hits 125
kilometres southeast fo the town of Panguna on Bougainville Island at a
depth of 10 kilometres.
Strong earthquakes are common in the impoverished country which sites on
the "Pacific Ring of Fire" a hotspot for seismic activity due to
friction between tectonic plates.

Qatar has reportedly warned it's citizens to expect aftershocks later today. Residential and commercial buildings and hospitals in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi have been evacuated and people are trying to trying to contact friends and family but Mobile and internet lines have gone down due to overload.
