How Northern Governors Split Boko Haram

The recent split in the ranks of the Islamist insurgent group, Boko Haram, leading to a division over a ceasefire, has been traced to a recent peace initiative spearheaded by the Northern States Governors Forum, NSGF.

The peace offensive, which saw a delegation of the forum meet with the second-in-command of the Boko Haram group, it was learnt yesterday, may also have opened way for the proposed presidential visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, scheduled for tomorrow.
The peace initiative, under the auspices of NSGF, was spearheaded by the Committee on Reconciliation, Healing and Security headed by Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, a former Director-General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA.
It also recommended a comprehensive amnesty for the combatants and rehabilitation of all those affected by the crisis.

Mimiko’s Wife Raises Alarm Over Fake Facebook Account

The wife of Ondo State Governor, Mrs Olukemi Mimiko yesterday raised the alarm over activities of swindlers who have been operating a false facebook account in her name.

She said: “ My attention has been drawn to the existence of a fake Facebook account created by some cyber criminals in the popular social media network .
“The purported Facebook-social media account with the name Mrs Olukemi Mimiko has my personal and official pictures.”
She pleaded with the unsuspecting public to be vigilant so as not to fall prey to the antics of the fraudsters.
Mrs Mimiko advised members of the public to disregard the Facebook account operating in her name, insisting that she has not been operating any official Facebook or social media network account or page.
“Any person who transacts any business or makes any comment in the said fake Facebook or social media accounts does so at his or her own risk” the Ondo state number one female citizen also warned.

Workers at National Hospital, Abuja yesterday began a three day strike to protest the hospital’s poor conditions of service and disregard of staff welfare for the past 14 years.

Nurses, midwives, senior staff and other medical workers, apart from doctors, will report at the hospital but will not stay at their duty posts between 8am and noon, according to the three-day work-to-rule declared by their unions.

The staff was demanding that the condition-of-service agreement reached in 2010 be implemented. They also demanded that the hospital’s administration director be sent into retirement after working for 35 years.
“For 14 years, we have worked without a direction. We don’t know where we are going,” said Rasaki Tajudeen, head of NHA’s Medical and Health Workers Union.

But before you decide to sew in someone else's hair, consider that it is possible to effectively grow strong and healthy processed black hair. Adhering to these tips and suggestions has helped my hair grow from neck length to breast length. Yes, I said it, breast length. On top of that, my hair is now healthy enough that if I wanted to grow it down to my back, I have that option. I do certainly hope these tips work for you as they have worked for me.

Woman Arrested For Having Sex With Her Son's 15-Year-Old Friend

A mother is accused of seducing her son's underage friend at a sleepover and having sex with him on multiple occasions.
Wendy Crowell of Grand Junction, Colorado, heard charges against her on Thursday, including six felony counts of sexual assault on a child, according to KREX.
The relationship allegedly began in June, 2012. The victim was between the ages of 15 and 16 at the time, KREX reports.
An arrest affidavit claims that one night when the boy was sleeping over at Crowell's home, she told him "he could pretend to be 18 for a night."
The teen told police the two had consensual sex five times over the course of three weeks.
It's not clear what led to the arrest months after the suspected assaults. It was previously reported that cops found out about the alleged relationship after the victim's mother found suspicious text messages from Crowell on her son's phone

"I Was Raped By My Father, Uncle, Teacher And School Mates"

I have been raped at various times by my father, uncle and our driver. My primary six teacher also had his fill of me.

While in secondary school, two boys ganged raped me in the classroom. Although all of them including my father, always came back to plead for my forgiveness after raping me, but such pleas don’t erase what they did to me. They all did it once. Till date, I avoid my father like a plague. He too is always very uncomfortable around me just like my uncle who nobody has seen since he came to plead with me. He stays in Jos and has refused to come home.
