Presenting the Award, Executive Vice-President, D-Link International, Mr. Gary Yang, said TD had in the last two years, restructured its D-Link business, with a new Product Manager focusing on retail, stockists and the SMB/Mid-Enterprise business; particularly in security, routing, wireless and IP surveillance.
“This has led to immediate growth, with excellent prospects of sustainability. The Award was in recognition of TD’s impressive distribution channels across the West African region and her turnover contributions from sub-Saharan Africa,” he said. The citation took note of TD’s innovativeness in the face of keen competition and harsh economic conditions arising from a stagnating global economy.
Mrs. Modupe Adesiyun, who received the award on behalf of TD, commended D Link for instituting the highly coveted awards that would stir healthy competition among global vendors. She said the Best Distributor 2012 Award was an endorsement of the growing diversification in the range of products on the stable of TD. She revealed that TD had made remarkable progress in her quest to be a one-stop-shop for the best quality ICT products in the world.
Adesiyun said that the Award would help TD to consolidate her dominance of the ICT equipment market in the West African region. She called on all resellers to take advantage of the growing presence of D Link assuring them of the traditional TD support as they offer D Link’s networking and security solutions to churches, schools, shopping malls, governments and the corporate sector.
