to cancel his contract at Juventus before the end of the season.
Anelka joined Juventus in February after an underwhelming spell at Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua but has found his first-team opportunities limited to two appearances as a substitute.

Anelka - who counts Chelsea, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Fenerbahce and Bolton as former clubs, has been labelled as 'Le Sulk' previously in his career for a perceived lack of enthusiasm, but the former France international has sought to make clear that he is happy at the Bianconeri.
Anelka made an announcement through his Twitter account saying: "I have never thought, neither have I ever had the idea to annul my contract with Juventus."
The 34-year-old forward's current deal runs until the end of the season, with the option of an extension of a further 12 months.
Juventus are nine points clear at the top of Serie A and face Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
