Diepriye Alamieyesiegha

The Presidency has explained that one of the major reasons why the
Diepriye Alamieyesiegha was granted pardon is because he worked to
restore peace in the Niger-Delta region while challenging northern
leaders to replicate same, especially on the state of insecurity in
their region.
This position was disclosed Wednesday by the Special Adviser to the
President on Inter-Party Affairs, Senator Ben Obi at the launching
ceremony of FEWZ Magazine in Abuja.
Obi said that Alamieyesiegha has paid for "his sins" and must be
forgiven on the basis of his contribution to the current peace in the
South-South Zone of the country.
