Man Stabs Brother To Death Over Land

Grief engulfed a village over the death of a middle aged man who was hacked by his brother after a land dispute.

It is said that the two differed over the inheritance of the land. According to an eye witness, the deceased had just arrived from his farm when his brother confronted him.

 

A heated argument ensued before the brother, using a cutlass the deceased was carrying to hit him on the head. He fell down and hacked him with the blade.

 

Neighbours who were alarmed by the screams rushed to the scene only to find the victim lying in a pool of blood. They rushed him to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

 

Area chief confirmed the incident saying that he will follow up the matter with the police. The suspect has since gone missing and is being sought by the police.
