Naval Chief Warns Officers Against Oil Theft

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba has warned that any officer involved in crude oil theft will be severely dealt with.
At a meeting with Senior Naval Officers, Vice Admiral Ezeoba admitted that some officers may have been compromised in the oil bunkering theft in the country.

Vice Admiral Ezeoba however warned that the Nigerian Navy will not tolerate any form of ineptitude and complacency.
He added that the Navy has taken necessary strategies to tackle the menace, which include the deployment of new vessels to flashpoints in the country.
The latest flashpoint identified by the Navy is the Brass Corridor, which consist of Forcados and Escravos.
The Senior officers also took their turns to sign the Performance Contract, with a mandate to curb the activities of crude oil thieves.
